Peter Machen is a Baltimore native and local artist specializing in custom designs for functional and decorative metal sculpture. For ten years following a high school internship with metal sculptor David Hess, Peter worked as an apprentice and shop hand for a variety of different artists and fabrication studios before pursuing his own craft in 2016. Since then he has devoted himself to exploring and refining his own aesthetic as well as a variety of self taught techniques that go into creating custom functional works of art featuring compositions of industrial design and abstract organic elements.
